Our Spray Painters:
Due to continued growth, our production team have an amazing opportunity for multiple Spray Painters to join them at our facility in Wacol. Here, we process new prime movers from delivery to the facility, through production, ready for delivery to our Independent and Penske Dealerships. This role includes painting some of the best known trucks in Australia as well as quality checking and following work orders to final inspection.
Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- The preparation of trucks to be coated for painting.
- Mix and matching paint to ensure correct colour match.
- Application of fillers and coatings using both airless systems and hand held pot spray guns.
- Filling imperfections and dents to obtain the desired surface finish.
- Touch up paintwork and application of polish to vehicles.
- Treatment of vehicles with rust-proofing chemicals.
- Completing all records and paperwork accurately, as directed.
- Mentoring and guiding apprentices in best practice principles.
About You
- Must be trade qualified with a Certificate III in Automotive Vehicle Body (Vehicle Painting) (AUS); National Certificate in Automotive Refinishing – Level 4(NZ).
- You have moderate experience as a Spray Painter.
- You have the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- You have a safety-first approach and as such your work area is always clean and organised.
- You can follow and complete paperwork and have knowledge of quality systems and controls.
- You are focussed and complete the tasks assigned to you in a safe, efficient and independent manner.
- You are a team player with a can-do attitude with the ability to listen, learn and follow direction
- You are highly reliable, punctual and take pride in your team's achievements.
