Your New Opportunity:
We are currently recruiting a HSE Business Partner to join our Australia and New Zealand team, based in Wacol with regular travel to our locations across SEQ. Reporting to the Group HSE Manager, the successful candidate will be a valued member of a dynamic, inclusive and supportive team. You will serve as a consultant to the business on health, safety and environment related issues and through collaborative partnerships across the organisation, deliver value-added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organisation.
In your designated portfolio you will:
- Drive and demonstrate HSE leadership with managers and employees to ensure everyone understands, believes and connect with HSE matters on a personal level.
- Build strong relationships with managers and employees in order to engage people in HSE practices and a safety culture for Penske's Australia and New Zealand business operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain a Management System that matches Penske's, legislative and ISO requirements in Workplace Health & Safety (WHS), Environment.
- Provide an effective Risk Management approach to ensure best practice WHS and Environmental management for Penske's business operations.
- Ensure HSE policies and procedures are embedded in Penske's business operations.
- Assist in the implementation of Wellbeing strategies across the Penske business operations.
This is an operationally focused role best suited to a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who enjoys working closely with the business. You will also support the development of management capability and coach managers and supervisors on best practice health and safety initiatives.
About You:
- Relevant tertiary or equivalent qualification in OH&S – Minimum Diploma OH&S.
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment (desired, not essential).
- Qualified Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator.
- Certified IMS Auditor (preferred).
- Incident Lead Investigator trained (ICAM preferred).
- Minimum of 7 years working experience with WHS and Environmental systems
- Experience in implementing and maintaining best practice WHS and Environmental programs.
- Good knowledge and understanding of federal and state legislation related to WHS and Environment.
- Experience in Rehabilitation and Return to Work programs.
- Proven experience managing Workers Compensation/ACC, including claims, policies and procedures.
- Ability to train and coach managers and employees on Safety and Environment programs including Workers Compensation/rehabilitation.
- Established competence in auditing (preferred but not mandatory).
- Experience in managing external stakeholders, contractors and apprentices.
- Knowledge and experience in Wellbeing and successful implementation of such programs.
