Job Description
Your New Opportunity:
Due to growth in the business, you'll be stepping into your new role as an Inventory Scheduler. Based in Kings Park NSW, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders to analyse forecasts, optimise inventory planning, and ensure the effective supply of parts to meet build demands.
In this role you'll take a proactive approach to inventory management, collaborating with our sales teams and suppliers to maintain optimal stock levels. Your analytical skills and industry expertise will be crucial in managing long-lead-time components, improving processes, and aligning inventory with business objectives.
About you:
- Diploma or tertiary qualification in business, or a trade certification.
- High level of accuracy with numerical and statistical analysis.
- Strong parts product knowledge and familiarity with the mechanical industry.
- Proficiency in Excel, IDS, and project management tools.
- Proven experience in planning, scheduling, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong internal customer focus and ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Inventory scheduling and planning for remanufacturing and production upfit.
- Analysing and communicating inventory requirements to align with departmental objectives.
- Forecasting and coordinating inventory to meet business needs, while maintaining accurate records.
- Reviewing build schedules for Defence, Reman, and Production to forecast inventory needs.
- Optimising and analysing inventory orders and levels to meet build demand.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to determine yearly forecasts and providing long-term inventory projections to PDC.
- Reviewing build schedules, processing forward-planned orders and managing a 5-year projection planner for large engine builds, subcomponents & production upfits.
- Utilising project management tools such as WindChill to record data and projections.
- Developing strategies to reduce lead times on high-risk items – identifying and implementing corrective actions for inventory shortages.
- Assessing inventory usage trends and recommending stocking levels accordingly.
