With a strong team of On-Highway Heavy Diesel Mechanics, Customer Service Professionals and Administrative Staff we need strong leadership. This is the ideal opportunity to take the next step in your career.
Your role is integral to the ongoing success of the Lytton branch so we're looking for someone who has the energy and drive to exceed and deliver results. You'll report into our Branch Manager, with a focus on monitoring and improving KPIs, while enhancing the customer experience and value offered within all aspects of the Service Department.
With a customer centric approach, exceeding customers' expectations will drive you. You pride yourself in being a strong communicator, with outstanding attention to detail. With a history in a transport industry Service Manager role, you'll have the skills to measure your departments performance against both the business plan and budget, and you'll build and maintain a strong customer base, while actively canvassing for additional business opportunities, while promoting Penske Australia's products and services.
About you:
- At least 5 years' managerial experience in an industrial/service environment, preferably within the heavy vehicle transport, or engine industries.
- A passionate, engaging and resilient personality with demonstrable experience in successfully managing, developing & motivating a workforce.
- Strong experience in understanding and interpreting business financial information including budgets and monthly financial reports.
- The ability to understand and grasp technical product information & product fault resolution.
- Demonstrated skills in managing customer relationships.
- Sound On Highway knowledge, with experience in Western Star, MAN, Dennis Eagle, Allison, Detroit and mtu products ideal.
- An understanding of labour sales & costs, gross margin, expenses and other financial ratios.
- A commitment to, and promotion of safe work practices with a good understanding of HSE responsibilities, and the strong time management skills.
- Have effective communication and teamwork skills, and actively promote Penske's values and purpose.
