Job Description
Your New Opportunity:
Due to an internal movement, a fantastic full time, permanent role has come up for a Parts Interpreter to join our On Highway team. You'll be based in our Lytton Branch, where you'll support and advise internal and external stakeholders on parts across our diverse range of premium brands to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
In this role you will:
- Provide parts interpreting services & support to Lytton Branch Activities
- Increase and maximise all parts sales, involving proactive communication with our client base.
- Assist to provide a regular flow of inventory, ensuring adequate & appropriate supply, and that guidelines are met.
- Make phone contact with client base when requested to increase business and promote new products & improvements.
- Build strong relationships with customers to ensure ongoing business and the use of genuine parts.
- Monitor and keep informed of latest product developments and updates, using these to maximum advantage.
- Model safe working behaviour in line with Penske's values of Ownership, Passion, Teamwork, Integrity and Care
About you:
- Have completed or in process of completing certificate in Parts Interpreting (desirable), or equivalent industry training/experience
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a parts interpreting, or related industry role
- Sound knowledge of mtu, Detroit Diesel, Allison and other associated products sod through our parts department.
- Basic knowledge of the principles of operation of internal combustion engines (essential) and automatic transmissions (preferred)
- Enjoy and have passion for providing service advice and solutions, delivering excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, with a knack for building personal connections
- Thorough attention to detail with the ability to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment
