An opportunity has arisen for a talented team player to join our Large Engine Remanufacturing Team as a trade qualified Diesel Mechanic.  This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Penske team and work in our modern workshop in Hazelmere.  If you have a passion for bringing engines back to life, we want to hear from you!

In this role you will:

• Complete engine repairs and overhauls using diagnostic and dynamometer (dyno) testing methods
• Undertake and perform all appropriate pre-delivery tests and inspections to ensure client satisfaction
• Assist in completing appropriate job reports to ensure accurate record of tasks completed
• Carry out hands on service work in both the workshop and field service environments
• Complete work instructions as directed and instructed
• Actively contribute towards an ongoing improvement culture in the Safety, Quality and Productivity of the Remanufacturing West Team
• Uphold the values of Penske Power Systems at all times with a commitment to safe working practices

About you:

• Appropriate trade qualifications (diesel mechanic, diesel fitters or other heavy industry trade)
• Experience on MTU and Detroit Diesel engines is an strong advantage
• Strong mechanical aptitude, with a particular focus on engine reconditioning
• Pride in completing jobs to a high standard
• Capable of working without supervision
• Self-motivated and able to become an active part of a great team of people
• Good communication skills for regular interaction with customers, colleagues and supervisors
