Your New Opportunity
Penske Australia is seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Yard-hand/Driver. In this crucial role, you will support the sales team with vehicle movements, quality inspections, and the delivery and handover of new and used trucks. You will play an essential part in ensuring our vehicles exceed customer expectations. The position involves preparing trucks for display and assisting in demonstrating the key attributes of the truck brands Penske supports, requiring a strong understanding of heavy vehicle products and their specifications. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare new and used trucks for presentation and sale, ensuring they meet Penske's high standards
- Coordinate with the sales team to facilitate vehicle readiness
- Drive and manoeuvre heavy trucks within the yard (multi-Combination license highly desirable)
- Maintain new and used vehicle display to a high standard at all times
- Manage time effectively to handle competing priorities
- Apply mechanical aptitude in the maintenance and basic servicing of vehicles
- Ability to learn professional vehicle hand over to explain to customers the operation of the vehicle
- Attention for detail to ensure products are supplied to our customers with a high level of quality
What We're Looking For:
- Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle products and specifications
- HR/MC Licence
- Proven ability to manage time and priorities efficiently
- High-level communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude and a keen eye for detail
- Eagerness to develop into a truck sales delivery and handover specialist
