Job Description
Your new opportunity:
Lead, mentor and develop our sales team based at Chipping Norton in the sales of Western Star, MAN and Dennis Eagle trucks. This is a key role in the senior leadership team in our Sydney dealership.
In this role you will:
- Manage and maintain a customer base and retail sales via a CRM system
- Lead and manage the sales team members to achieve sales budgets and develop and maintain a strong customer base
- Sell new Penske truck products and services, direct to customers and markets in line with budgeted targets
- Develop and implement strategies to enter new markets and expand customer base
- Review and approve customer quotes created by the sales team via our internally built sales quoting system
- Maintain stock at appropriate levels to meet customer needs
- Manage the advertising and customer delivery processes for products including presentation of vehicles.
About you:
- Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle products, industry and specifications and relevant legislation
- Leadership and coaching skills, with a focus on engaging sales teams
- Demonstrated experience in selling, managing and developing business
- Previous experience with budgeting/cost control and commercial transactions
- High level communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Strong presentation and proposal / tender development skills
- Intermediate IT skills (ERA, Microsoft Office Suite, Database and Customer Relationship Management tools)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Heavy truck license is preferred
