Truck Sales Manager | Sydney

Job Description

Your new opportunity:

Lead, mentor and develop our sales team based at Chipping Norton in the sales of Western Star, MAN and Dennis Eagle trucks. This is a key role in the senior leadership team in our Sydney dealership.

In this role you will:

• Manage and maintain a customer base and retail sales via a CRM system
• Lead and manage the sales team members to achieve sales budgets and develop and maintain a strong customer base
• Sell new Penske truck products and services, direct to customers and markets in line with budgeted targets
• Develop and implement strategies to enter new markets and expand customer base
• Review and approve customer quotes created by the sales team via our internally built sales quoting system
• Maintain stock at appropriate levels to meet customer needs
• Manage the advertising and customer delivery processes for products including presentation of vehicles.

About you:

• Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle products, industry and specifications and relevant legislation
• Leadership and coaching skills, with a focus on engaging sales teams
• Demonstrated experience in selling, managing and developing business
• Previous experience with budgeting/cost control and commercial transactions
• High level communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
• Strong presentation and proposal / tender development skills
• Intermediate IT skills (ERA, Microsoft Office Suite, Database and Customer Relationship Management tools)
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Heavy truck license is preferred
